Interpreters Connect

Remote interpreting

When an interpreter can't be there in person, or everyone is in a different place, we connect you by video or phone. Remote interpreting works well for shorter conversations, remote proceedings, and participants in more than one location.

Where remote interpreting is used

  • Remote depositions and hearings
  • Client intake calls and consultations
  • Video meetings with teams or partners abroad
  • Telehealth and patient calls
  • Online classes and virtual events
  • Customer and client phone calls
  • Follow-up conversations that don't need a site visit

What you can expect

Video interpreting

The interpreter joins your video call, so facial expressions and visual cues come through. A good fit for remote depositions, hearings, and meetings.

Phone interpreting

The interpreter joins by phone on a three-way call. A good fit for quick conversations and for people without a reliable video connection.

ASL by video

American Sign Language interpreters are available over video.

The same standards as in person

Remote interpreters work to the same expectations of accuracy, impartiality, and confidentiality as those in the room.

What to have ready when you request

The more we know up front, the faster we can confirm your request.

  • The language, and the dialect or region if you know it
  • The date, time, and time zone
  • Video or phone, and the platform you plan to use
  • How many people will be on the call
  • The type of conversation and its expected length
